This shark's jaw (Carcharhinus obscurus) belongs to a shark that measured between 3 and 4 meters long.
It can be found in the three big oceans near the coast and in the wide (up to 400m deep) in warm waters. This species migrates.
It can reach 4m long and lives up to 40 years. It is a sub-product of the shark fishery for "shark fin soup". Those jaws are not catched to make decorative items. |
