In the world of fossils, ammonites occupy a certain domination. Nevertheless, within this gigantic groups, the unwound (or hétéromorphes) occupy a quite particular place. The progress of ammonites, for a long time considered as an evolutionary degeneration, is at present anticipated more as an adaptive answer (in the shape or the size(cutting) of ammonites) in front of modifications of the marine ecosystems. This specimen comes from Morco, and dates from Cretaceous, near 70 millions years old.
